The rear upper control arm attaches the rear left wheel carrier to the rear sub frame. It is one of two upper control arms in the rear of your X5/X6. With age and high mileage, suspension components such as control arms commonly wear out. We typically see the ball joint loosens up and the inner bushing can develop some play. This wear can wreak havoc on alignment and performance. We also recommend replacing this component in pairs for best service life and performance.
